What do you use to share your digital files between your various devices and with other select people?

Dropbox provides a synchronized online location to organize and selectively share your files.

What Does Dropbox Do?

Dropbox cloud storage allows you to organize and share files across your devices and with your family, friends, and coworkers.

How to Use Dropbox

Install the Dropbox app on your desktop and laptop computers as well as your devices.

Place files you want to share in the Dropbox folder of your computer. (This folder is created when you set up the app.) All files in this folder are available on your secure online Dropbox account and you can share files and folders selectively with others.

Files are always available from your online account through a web browser and through your mobile devices. You can also selectively synchronize files to your desktop and laptop computers for offline use.

Pricing

The free account currently offers 2 GB of online storage. Premium plans start at $8.25 per month (billed annually) for 1 TB of storage.

Summary

Our family has used Dropbox for years. It allows us to centralize and organize our files across devices. We have used it to share photos with family and friends. We can share links to files which are too large to be attached to an email.

Start with the free version and upgrade to a premium plan if you find the service as helpful as we have.
